A-L-O-H-A!! Our old friends from Pitt..now from Atlanta got in last night, so today we took them to breakie at the "Sands" & then snorkeling at Kapalua & Honolua bay. Conditions we perfect! Calm waters, sunshine & lots of fish turtles & beautiful coral. Both were a little crowded but ok. I saw a Bluespotted Grouper, a few eels & lots of Humu's...the Spears saw a sea turtle. I think we all had a good time & it was just a gorgeous day. After all of our water activities, we cleaned up and went down to the Whaler's Village Mall & had a dinner at the Hula Grill..a beach bar & restaurant right on Ka anapali Beach. Our meals were FAB, with mahi-mahi, opkua and great sauces & fresh Maui veggies...and of course, Island drinks with tiny umbrellas..Kevin loved that part. Marty, in her own way, ordered precisely..(when harry met sally). We took our time and managed to see a FAB sunset and hear some good music & hula from the local performers. Followed by a stroll thru the mall & more local flavor with a Hawaiian Dance show by some talented kids. Back to the room by 9:00 & prepare for our Molokini snorkel trip for tomorrow..early with the Pacific Whale Foundation.
Beautiful pictures -- everyone looks so relaxed, and the women look gorgeous. Love your Hawaiian dresses, KK, and Marty, you look super fit as always. Hope you had a nice snorkeling experience and that you saw lots o' whales. David and I went to see Dottie yesterday and spent the whole afternoon. She was good, but alas, had not heard about her brother, so I broke that unexpectedly. Still, she said, "I'm so glad you told me" before we left. Stopped by the Catfish Round-up on the way home. Finished grading (for now) and am off to Norman Music Fest with Grizz in an hour or so. Enjoy your fish!
ReplyDeleteSorry you had to be the bearer of bad new for Dottie. Marie was supposed to call her. For some reason dad hated to be the one to tell her. He said he was always giving her bad news. We're having fun as you can tell. Marty has one more day before leaving Monday & Kevin goes to his meeting that same day. Kove ya!
